PDP reacts to Gov Amaechi's claim of N6bn bribe paid to pastors

The PDP has refuted claims by governor Rotimi Amaechi that its party paid some Nigerian pastors N6billion to discredit APC and its Presidential candidate. At a conference press held in Abuja yesterday, PDP Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh called on Governor Amaechi to produce evidence of any pastor collecting bribe from PDP

"We are shocked that APC Campaign could impugn the character of Pastors and I dare say that this is ungodly; it is a sin against God. We challenge the DG of APC Campaign to state the facts; the pastors involved and where such huge sum of money can come from. This attack is capable of bringing Christians & Muslims into a major disagreement and major dispute. If truly the person who issued this state is a Catholic as he said, we are asking him to go for confession and seek God’s forgiveness" he said

Davido, Olamide emerge big winners at The Headies 2014 [Full Winners’ List]

Davido, Olamide and Patoranking emerged the biggest winners of the night, as the 2014 edition of the The Headies Awards was held over the weekend.

The event which was held at the Eko Hotels in Lagos, saw each of the artiste pick up two awards. Davido won in the Song of the Year and Artiste of the Year category, while Patoranking was announced as Next Rated – for which he received a brand new Hyundai car.

Mavins picked up two awards, while artistes like Yemi Alade, Runtown and a few others missed out.

According to Vanguard, the actress explained why she's still single... “The reason is that I am someone who has always believed in love. It is a big deal to me so if I have to do it, it has to be right.

I am a strong believer of love. I get lots of proposals; it is so crazy I do not know who to give a chance to. I think it is a price I have to pay for stardom. “Sometimes when anybody comes my way, I do not know who wants to be with me for the right reasons. I believe when that day comes, I will definitely figure out who that person is.

It is not easy. “What I should be talking about is not relationship but marriage. I want to go into marriage and be in it for ever. No one goes into marriage thinking of divorce, but it happens.

We try our best. “I think I am kind of scared, but I just have to give it a try whether I like it or not. It just has to happen and happen right; at the right time.”

The other day I lost my cool when I shud av ignored cos I let people who do not matter get to me. It got me trending in a way I did not like and that for me I can't ignore. Till today, I get an unreasonable amount of hate for something I did not do. I ignore most times but this time I reacted. I've been thru a lot so sometimes I find them hard to ignore, maybe because Iv addressed it to the point that it feels like it will never go away. Iv been called every name in the book, bitch, attn seeker, etc simply because I loved the wrong person but still I held my head high choosing to carry on. 

I do my best to stay true to who I am and be a good person. Tho sum may deem it weakness, I'm a free spirit and av no problem baring my soul so yes I'll admit, even though I'm strong, it sometimes gets to me. Not because their opinions matter but because I even have to deal with it in the first place and most of the time it feels surreal. I understand that not everyone will like me, so they will use anything they can against me. I probably wouldn't care if it was something I actually did. 

Then I'll accept that It is what it is. I wish I could explain the feeling of being wrongly accused in that magnitude. It's like a million welts digging deep at your soul, and no one seems to understand you. To some it's funny, to some it's a headline, to me, it's reassurance I have to give my son that a nasty rumor was badly mismanaged. It's the explaining I will be doing in the years to come. 

It's irritating when it keeps popping up and I have to turn the other cheek but I'm learning each day to always keep my cool. I'm happy and content but also human. Excuse me if I react sometimes to stupidity thrown in my direction.. God gave me a fresh start and for that I should be grateful.. Apologies if I disappointed anyone by clapping back.....I promise next time to try harder to ignore and hopefully this will be the last of it... Xoxo #Osha

APC Presidential primaries holds today in Lagos

The Presidential primaries of the APC will hold today at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos. Five aspirants including former Head of State, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari rtd, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governors of Kano and Imo States, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso and Chief Rochas Okorocha, and the publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah will contest for the parties presidential ticket. Over 8000 delegates are expected to cast their votes.

Actress Funke Adesiyan wins Oyo state APC primary

Another entertainer scales through. Actress Funke Adesiyan has won the Oyo State House of Assembly primary of the APC to represent the Ibadan South-East constituency at the state Assembly. Results of the primaries was released yesterday December 9th. Congrats to her.
